Sample Pages
From Spritzdecor to Fat Lava (Pages from "Forms and Bases" are below.) (Special note: these pages were printed, scanned, then uploaded, so in some photos the quality is less than what's on the actual cds. Lines and such are not in the originals.) Samples of company entries showing available company information, form numbers, and photos. (Note that although most form numbers that are known are listed by company on this cd, the "identification" cd lists form numbers in numerical order along with known sizes. That allows you to research the numbers when you have no idea where to start among the companies.) Over 100 companies are included! ![]() On the left, a page from the Scheurich entry shows additional photos. Generally, the bigger the company, the more photos are included. The cd shows about 900 items! On the right is a page from the designer profile section. ![]()
Sample Pages East & West German Ceramics: Marks, Bases, Decors, and Form Numbers On the left is a small sample of the marks and labels from commercial potteries. "Spritzdecor to Fat Lava" includes many such items, but "Marks and Bases" includes more commerical marks plus studio pottery and porcelain marks/labels. On the right is a page showing company bases. Even when there are no company marks, bases give assorted clues to the maker, including clay color, form/size number, lettering style, placement, etc. ![]() On the left, a page from the Carstens "Decors" section shows a list of decor names, date and designer (when known) plus the beginning of the image section. On the right, a page from the Ceramano "Decors" section shows detail shots of several decors with names (when known). ![]() The bulk of the "Marks and Bases" cd covers form numbers in numerical order with the type (vase, handled vase, bowl, etc.), the size designations known, maker, and era/year made. The combination of form/size numbers is enormous, but it doesn't yet cover everything. More research brings more information in this huge field. Still, this section is of great help when trying to identify one of the many unmarked items. You'll find yourself referring to it again and again, just as I do on an almost daily basis. ![]() Back to the review Back to Order Page F |

Please take the time to let us know what you think about the site, the look, the language, photos, items, prices, etc. If you have any questions, comments, or good ideas for conversation, feel free to contact us. There should be e-mail links on every page, and the actual address is ginfor@earthlink.net Guarantee: We have a simple, "If you aren't happy, we aren't happy" policy. If you open a package and suddenly wonder why you bought it in the first place, you can return it for a full refund of your purchase price and the shipping one way. Your only risk is the cost to ship it back to us. If it turns out that we made a mistake, then we pay the shipping both ways. I won't say "no questions asked" because we will ask so we'll know how to make fewer mistakes. Payment terms:
We try not to be overly picky about the details. If we can
put it in the bank and pay some bills without any undo fuss, then we'll
probably take it. We're quite happy to take checks and money orders, and we're signed up
with Paypal, which is the
easiest route if you want to pay by credit card. If you have
some other method in mind, get in touch, and we'll see what we can work
out. Monopoly money, anything you may have printed in the
basement, and chickens are right out. Head for the GinFor's |
