Hans Jensen Silverplate Items
   MM-5    Hans Jensen Silverplate Items
Description: This three-piece silverplate repousse grouping was made in Denmark by Hans Jensen and dates to the first half of the 20th century.  The box bears an EL mark, which is believed to be an importer mark that no one has managed to identify.  While of the same style, this is not really a set.  The mirror and comb have a Carribean scen with drums, while the box shows a rural scene with a fiddler.  While none of the items has the Jensen mark that I've found, the rural scene is known with the Jensen mark, and the similarity makes it likely that the Carribean scene is also Jensen.  The mirror and comb are probably purse items, while the box would be for the vanity.

Dimensions: Box is about 4 1/8" diameter, height about 1 1/8"; mirror about 2 5/8" diameter, length about 4 5/8"; comb about 1 1/4" wide, length about 5 1/4".

Condition: excellent with no damage and no repairs.  Of course, all our sales are fully guaranteed.
