Eiwa Klinker Vase with Oslo Decoration

Several companies did this type of work, including Sawa, but this one can be attributed to Eiwa based on the pattern name and just a trace of a label. The pattern is Oslo with completely hand done decoration. These items are stained rather than glaze, and some of the decoration is created by cutting back into the clay. The vase is hand thrown and probably dates to the 1950s. Vases with this type of clay are often referred to as Klinker ceramics, and you'll sometimes find that in the company name or line name.
Height is about 10".

You may notice that we don't have a checkout where you can just click for your goodies without so much as saying hello. Well, we want people to say hello, ask questions, even hope for a better deal.
