Item: AP-13 This vase is almost certainly North American pottery, but whether that means Canada or the United States is a bit uncertain in this case. Coloring looks like some Canadian work, but the drip glaze is much thicker than what I've seen, at least compared to more recent work. The vase has advertising in gold lettering for the Euclid Nursery in San Diego, California, and based on the shorter phone number, it probably dates to pre-WWII. I've also wondered about the pottery itself being California born, but that hasn't turned up any results. That puts this into the Neat Mystery category. Height is about 8 inches. Condition is excellent with no damage or wear problems. Even the gold is in very good condition. Of course, all our sales are fully guaranteed. Price is $85 including Priority Mail and insurance within the U.S. International shipping rates quoted on request. E-Mail Us To buy an item (or more), just get in touch through the e-mail link, or you can call us at 812-467-0191. (A busy signal is still common, I'm afraid since we only have one phone line.) Identify the item by the title or some other description (and we will be using stock numbers soon to cope with a larger site). We'll confirm that the item is still available, make sure we agree on the total, and answer any questions you wish to throw our way. Checks or money orders should be made "Forrest OR Virginia Poston". We also take Paypal (including credit card payments). We try to ship in one or two days after payment arrives, and we're generous with the bubblewrap and styrofoam peanuts. If there's something you'd like us to find for you, let us know. We're just itching to please you, or maybe that was Poison Ivy we got into. Remember that all proceeds go to support good causes: my spouse, our cats (see the "staff" here), our creditors, my auction addiction, and the plumbing project that never ends. |
