Art-3 Edgar Bundy Oil on
Canvas, English  Description: This large oil on canvas painting is
signed Edgar Bundy (1862-1922). In keeping with
Bundy's interest in painting historical English
military scenes, this work shows English soldiers
living off the land (and the landholders), returning
with sheep and fowl. The scene is probably a reference to  the civil war,
17th century, but I have not actually dated the
clothing shown. Color, line, detail, and mood
are all excellent.Dimensions: Interior measurements are 27" x 35". Frame is 37" x 45". Condition: The  painting
has had some restoration in four spots (clicking on the image to the left will take you to a page with pictures showing the areas in question). There is also a 2" triangle tear and a 5" horizontal tear. A proper restoration job would probably triple the value. Of course, all our sales are fully guaranteed. Price: $5500 plus
shipping/insurance.
